what am i surpose to do ?

first of all, define hurt in your own term. if that hurt is deeply affects your life...then you should re-assessed your relationship with your lover. how deep is your love to him will be erased by mistakes and disappointment on him.it doesn't meant the longer your relationship with someone will end up in married. Sometimes it can be happened with trust, caring and understanding. In your situation, you should think deep and tell yourself if waiting an answer from him is worthwhile. Maybe you could make last action by pouring what you've gone through and see what happen next. If he comes back and admits he's wrong then maybe there is a chance to revive that long relationship. If NONE, well i guess you should be moving forward with your life and find peace of mind without thinking to much on question(s) that won't materialised. be yourself and make a stand whether to wait, get hurt and confused or make new life. When someone is proposing, that means he's ready. But if no respond from him, after long and rough relationship, that means he's not yet ready for commitment.

Well a good idea,would be to keep the gate shut. That way,you can make your intentions plain. Might'nt have the desired effect but at least you'll know where you stand
