A Mixed Cd for Autumn?
I want to make a cd for fall. Anyone have any favorite songs that when they hear they think of fall? I'm not looking for anything about winter or halloween. Also it doesn't really matter what genre the music is - country, pop, rock, ect is great. So far the only song I can think of is A Change in the Air by Clint Black.

here's an alt country song for you that is about summer ending and fall beginning and all of the stuff you missed out on during summer. "another lost summer" by Blanche... from the album "if we can't trust the doctors"
look for it on itunes. great band. lead singer dan john miller has played in many bands over the last 17 years. a few with fellow detroiter jack white. many early blanche and stripes songs came from a band they were in together called 2 star tabernacle. jack white got his music start playing drums in dan's first band, goober and the peas. you might also recognize blanche's newest banjo/autoharp/mandolin player as the bassist from the raconteurs, the greenhornes and the do-whaters. lil jack lawrence. he's amazing.

Folk:
The Sweetness-Nerissa & Katryna Nields
Collecting You- Indigo Girls (no mention of autumn in the lyrics, but I think the song has a very crisp, fresh, "fall-like" feel)
End of The Summer-Dar Williams
When Fall Comes To New England-Cheryl Wheeler
Country:
October Wind-Ennis Sisters
Rock:
November Rain- Guns N' Roses
Wake Me Up When September Ends-Green Day
Pop:
Hollaback Girl- Gwen Stefani (b/c it's about cheerleading, and cheerleading goes w/football, which is a fall sport)
