iraqi government?
how much longer is this government gonna take to meet all of the conditions for the eighteen benchmarks that we have given to them? It seems that they are unable to even agree on the most simplest things on this list. My second question is when will the troops come home? It seems that March is the due date but they keep changing there minds of it going back and forth saying yes they can withdraw troops and then say no we can't. My last question is when did the army increase the troop number to 172,000? I wasn't aware until today that this number went from 162,000 to this new #.
Sorry for so many questions but the truth must be found. If possible answer one or all three if possible, thank you for answering my questions.

Lets not forget this is all brand new to them..I dont think in 1776 everything was fine and dandy in our country, so lets give them some time to work on their system

#1- They will never get this fantasy government off the ground! They will not cooperate long enough to get anything done and my guess is they never will! They don't like each other and as far as that goes they don't like us much either. Our wanting a new government in Iraq will not make it so,only the people of Iraq can do that and they don't seem to be in any hurry!....#2- Your guess is as good as any on this one! Bush is still in denial and thinks things are fine so why not stay a few more years and the Democrats ain't got balls enough to stand up to him so we may well be there for a good long while yet! #3- I'm not even convinced that they know how many are there! I think we need to get out now before any more of our kids are killed or maimed!

With religion in the mix, they are unlikely to EVER see a stable government until another dictator like Saddam Hussein emerges and lays down the law in every bit as violent a manner as he did.
That seems to be the only thing the politically active Iraqis understand - who has the most power to kill.
