Beacuse of the -4y what happens? Can I do it? And how?
Thank you very very much

First move the 64 over to the left of the equals sign.
4y^2-4y-64=0
Then you look at the largest factor you can take out of each number which is 4.
4(y^2-y-16)=0
From there, you want to factor down the equation inside of the parenthesis. However, there is a problem. If you try to complete the square, you'll find that it can not be done. That said, 4(y^2-y-16)=0 is as far down as you can go.

Use -b+or- square root of b^2 -4ac divided by 2a. A is 4 B is -4 and c is 0. so the answer is 1 or 0.

I hate this problem because it uses the dang quadriatic equation.
First divide both sides by 4 leaving
y^2-y=16
Then subtract 16 from both sides leaving
y^2-y-16=0
Then apply the quadriatic equation from your text book.
