If you sit down long enough and consider everything it starts to seem less likely that there is a supernatural being out there. Well at least it does for me. I mean you can use logic to try and prove the existance of a supernatural being but it is quite difficult.

The bible has been written by humans, and has been translated may times. There was even a council to decide what stories went into parts of the bible (some of them contradictory, ie the gospels of Mary Magdeline and the gospel of Judas, yes that's right there are other gospels). Many people pick and choose what they want to believe from the bible which then brings you to the question; why believe any of it?

Most people don't even know everything about their own faith, which scares me when they start telling people of other faiths that they are wrong.

Note: I don't like the question "what is your EXCUSE?". That makes it seem that you are completely right and anyone that doesn't believe in god is wrong. I do not have to excuse myself from believing in god. You can not totally prove gods existance just as much as i can not disprove it, so neither can be proven right or proven wrong. You have your reasons to believe, and I have my reasons not to, so I would prefer you rephrase that question to "what is your REASON?"

I believe in God but I do not believe that the Bible is the word of God, because it's full of things that even I know better, and I am no where near being an all knowing God capable of creating an entire universe...

For one I do not need an EXCUSE for not believing in GOD or the bible. I need proof. Even if i was to get proof why would I want to devote my life to a GOD that lets such terrible things happen to his loyal followers and innocent children. What is your excuse for believing in a fairy tale? You do not believe in Santa Clause or the Easter bunny anymore do you? So why do you believe that there is a GOD, with ABSOLUTELY no tangible evidence what so ever that HE/SHE/IT has ever even existed. That is a fairy tale. People use it as a crutch when they feel that they can not control their own destiny. "Lets put it in GODS hands" So when a "miracle" happens, everyone is QUICK to say "praise god" but when something bad happens everyone blames society. The exact same society that created this myth in the first place.

It's outdated!That stuff doesn't and shouldn't work anymore in this day and age.Now,we are into evidence and proof of such things,or it can't make sense!I cannot get myself to believe in God,and believe me I've tried,because it's a lie there is no God anywhere,or any proof,it's all fantasy!

My excuse is that I've found more truth in an episode of South Park than in the Bible.

Seventh Day Adventists and Jehovah's Witnesses.

First Roman Catholic Bible was published at Rheims in 1582. Second one published at Douay in 1609. These called RCV version of Bible. The Protestants regarded 7 books as ‘apocrypha’ (doubtful authority) and removed them from Bible. (The Book of Judith, The Book of Tobias, The Book of Baruch, The Buck of Esther, etc.) Jesus pbuh said in the book of Revelation Chapter 22 Verse 18-19 ". . . If any man shall add to these things (or delete) God shall add unto him the plagues written in this Book." On deleting 7 books from bible, the Catholics call ‘cult of Christianity’ to the Seventh Day Adventists and Jehovah's Witnesses.

there is just no real proof that god is real or that the bible is true. why does it matter what you believe in as long as you live a happy meaningful life? isnt it awful living your life in fear that you will mess up and sin?
