I don't know average salaries currently in your field. Costs of living in Copenhagen are high--some of the highest in the world, in fact. Expect a 2 room apartment to start at 6,000 DKK per month (this is 1 bedroom + 1 living room, small kitchen, small bath room, 55 sq. meters, just outside of the center). Utilities will add another 1,000 DKK per month.

If your job is near your flat, then public transport costs are minimal--one third of Copenhageners (including me!) commute to work via bicycle. Public transportation is excellent. 10 short rides (2 zones in 1 hour) costs only 12 DKK on a clip card. But of course choosing to live all the way out at the end of an S-train line (in the country) means a monthly pass will add 600-800 DKK if your work is in the city, and about an hour on the train to each day for you. It is very easy to live in Copenhagen without a car, however.

If you have residence and/or work permission in Denmark, then you are automatically enrolled in Health Care. It will come out of your tax.

I'm living in Copenhagen, and am glad to answer any more specifics you have. I'll check back on this question to see if you added any more details you need.

Well sorry, I cant give you much information. The last time I was in Denmark was in 1991. I spent time in Tisted and Vorpor. This was before the Euro so I cant tell you about exchange rates any more. I can tell you a couple of things.

The People are wonderful, open and friendly. The cities are beautiful and clean. I would LOVE to go back someday.

Well, we do NOT have the Euro in Denmark, that's for sure...!!
