If you do not have time to look up those sites this is the list the Dr told me. Avoid eating seafood more than once a week, processed deli meat for the first 3 months, and od course limit your caffeine intake witch does include chocolate.
Good things to eat are any veggies that are green! 8 glasses of water, and if your having trouble with bowel movements during plenty of apple juice. Constipation seems to hang around while your pregnant.
About the color: My daughter was born jaundice so I asked my doctor what I could do different with this pregnancies and she said absolutely nothing!
For a healthy pregnancy START EXERCISING NOW. Do not wait until you have noticed you have put on a couple of pounds because then it could be to late. At the end of your pregnancy you tend to be more tiered so if you put a little exercise in now you are more likely to continue to for the next 9 months. Good Luck

Pregnancy is not a disease.
Continue living and eating the way you normally would (provided you eat in a healthy usual manner).
Prenatal vitamins with Folic acid is a good suplement( to get from your Dr.).
Get used to eating without salt as specially in a first pregnancy your chances for high blood pressure and swelling (called preeclampsia) will be higher.
On the color of your baby it's genetic so not much but love him the way he'll be.
Congratulations!
PS: A good site to learn could be WebMD or you could look for American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists (ACOG).

Ummm, I was with you up until you said you want your child to have fair color. Wow. Ok, just so you know, there isn't anything you can do to determine what your child's complexion is going to be. And for the most part, there's not much more you can do to prevent genetic deformities. The best thing you can do is take your vitamins, drink your water and avoid drugs and alcohol. Follow the advice your doctor gave you as far as calorie intake and things of that matter.
