I Have a Dale Earnhardt collectable and needing some info...?

Question

I have a picture in a frame that has Dale Earnhardt and Dale Earnhardt Jr. together with thier cars. It's a very nice drawing and unfortuneantly I need some money now so have to sell it. How much do you think I could get for it? The reason I'm putting it on E-bay is if no one wants to buy it for a reasonable amount, them I'm going to keep it seeing how I don't want to get rid of it in the first place. I need to know ASAP as well. Thankyou

10 to 15 dollars unless the ebays go nuts , but its not autog so its a common piece, not much demand on things in that nature, but since its a drawing may attract a diff crowd so u have nothing to lose. but put a reserve on it of what u want for it, that way if it doesnt get met on ebay u get to keep it, if u put it on without reserve thenu have to sell for what it gets so be careful there

It would really depend on the artist as to how much the value could be. There was a lot of hand drawn art of Dale Sr and his son that was copied and reproduced. They look like hand drawings but are really just duplicates. There was a large number of those put out after Sr's accident. I bought one of them  for a friend once.

Unless it is an actual drawing then it probably will not bring much money. You can tell if it is an actual hand sketch by taking your finger and lightly rubbing a small spot on the drawing. If it smears any then it is a penciled drawing. If it doesn't then it's a copy.

Best advice would be, depending on how much money you need, I'd hang on to it and let it appreciate in value and find something else to make a quick "buck" off of.

Try watching some similar items and see what they go for. If you do need to sell it right away, set a reserve for the lowest amout you would sell it for. If you don't get the reserve, you don't have to sell it.

Tacos-you are not entirely right. When I finish a pencil or charcoal work, I always seal it to make sure it DOESN'T smear. So this would not tell you much.

Well since it is probably an unsigned "print" of which there are numerous identical ones out there, probably not much more than what you originally paid for it

you wont get much out of it, I have several artists drawings of them seperate and together. just keep it, its worth more to you than money. If you sell it youd be lucky to get $40.00 out of it.

It would be worth more if you had it signed. By what you are describing (w/out me seeing it) it may fetch for no more than $30.00.
