Looking to buy a dell computer, but I want Windows XP not Vista OS - any recommendations on the best models?

Only a few configurations advertised still offer Windows XP - of the available, any recommendations/suggestions?

The Vostro and Optiplex lines still offer Vista (under small business) - as for a recommendation, it depends on what you need to do. Generally, I've been satisfied with the Optiplex desktops and towers in the past, especially the higher end models that have dedicated video instead of onboard.

    Hello.

First off all, Dell, do good computers but the after service is really bad!

If your thinking of buying a brand new computer/laptop, its best to go down your local shop and talk to some "experts".

Also, to be honest at this present time, Vista is very premiture, so yes, get Windows Xp. I have vista, and it is very slow, even with updates.

Good Luck with your new pc!

Why would you want to downgrade to windows vista? are you afraid of technology? More and more will be compatable with vista and less with xp. Get a mac if you dont like vista.

Go to this site and look around, there are two places that it can send you to for help with what you want and at a decent price too.
