How would I load a friend's copyright music CD onto my web site? I used Flash, Dreamweaver and Fireworks.?
My friend made an independent CD album. Now I'm trying to upload it into a sub subdomain on my hobby website so other friends could listen to his music. I tried to upload it but the web page was blank. The music file is in window media player format. Could I use Flash MX2004 to listen to the disc on the web? How would I get audio on Flash? I did it once a few years ago, but since I only did it once, I quickly forgot how.

You need first of all copyright permission from the copyright owner so you don't get in trouble. Any upload files need to be compressed in order to upload it. If you have windows I am sorry for you I am a Mac person and I don't know from Adam about windows. Mac is the world of music and art for graphics. With GarageBand you can compress it . Contact Apple about your question. Anyway buy an Apple they are more expensive than all those windows but they are worth it.

The easyway is just to unload the file as a wma and then put a link to the file from the webpage.
This will open Windows Media Player and play the file.
On the following website, I made mp3 files and some flash audio files.

Only if the file you are transferring is infected. If your put an infected mp3 file on your flash stick, then you have also just transferred the virus over as well.... Always run a scan on any file your copy off your computer. From Windows Explorer (NOT Internet Explorer) right click the file you want to transfer and choose "scan file" from the menu. All anti-virus programs I know of will let you do this kind of scan. If all is clear, then you need not worry about any kind of malware.... GOOD LUCK !!!

convert the files to whatever format you want - wma, mp3, etc.
then upload them to the server using ftp or whatever sw you use for that. Include a link to those files in your web pages somewhere, and voila, ready to go!

Well, you could rip it into itunes, burn it to a cd, and rip it again. Or you could just download non-copyrighted versions of the songs.
