Can someone explain why the Olsen twins are important?

The same reason Paris Hilton, Nichole Ritchie and Brittany spears are revered...most people have become drones of society and have no better sense than to idolize the talenteless, over sensationalized, richy, spoiled snobs. Not to mention the media crams them down our throats. If they showed more heroes than zeros this would be a better place.

They had a whole line of direct to video movies from when they were toddlers all the way up into their mid teens. Kids love those movies big time and it made the twins rich. Of course there was Full House as well and clothing lines and other stuff. They were the producers of their movies I think.

I have never heard of these twins before. The only famous twins here in the UK are Amanda and Sam who were on Big brother but after looking at the photos of them it certainly is not because of looks!!

Celebrity follows no logic -- need I say "Sanjaya"? It is not something you can qualify or measure.

Keep in mind that most people aren't very smart, too.

They're rich with their clothing line and all! However I dont really think they're hot. Ashley Tisdale and other famous names you know are hot though!

They are in movies and in the cover of many magazines for their eating disorders and drugs..!!

they aren't. they just have lots of money, because they invested well, made kids' movies that sold well and made a beauty line for lots of $$$$$$$$$.

they have a clothing brand thats awesome. and yeah, they have been in a lot of movies! there more than you think!

there used ot be's now they ain't doing anything but when they were young they were in full hosue and two of kinda and alot of movies
