With this being a chemical imbalance it is hard. But...you can walk 30 minutes a day in the sunlight and get the same results as taking 50mg of Zoloft. Engaging in interested hobbies, family, friends, and etc. helps. In the end medication is the way to correct the imbalance.

Exercise daily (releases endorphins), eat healthy meals (makes u less upset about being unhealthy - if you are). Take some me time and just sit and listen to music, read books, get professional massages. Have people around you to take to.

Best medicine for your mind is to keep your body healthy b/c different hormones and body processes work better if your body is healthy.

Avoid alcohol and other things like that because it will depress your central nervous system.

Take a good look at what you eat; is it healthy or junk, is it caffiene or pure water, is it sugary or high carb?

Do you exercise on a regular basis? Do you get enough natural sunlight?

Try seeking out Phenocane in the health food store, it was developed for pain and a nice after affect is it relieves depression too. It's natural.
