From the main part of your question, I'm assuming you have read a book by Bill Benson or you watched "Freedom to Fascism". The book is full of errors and misinterpretations. The film is inaccurate conspiracy theory nonsense. Here is what one court said on the matter of the 16th amendment.

    [QUOTE]

Benson and Beckman did not discover anything; they rediscovered something that Secretary Knox considered in 1913. Thirty-eight states ratified the sixteenth amendment, and thirty-seven sent formal instruments of ratification to the Secretary of State. (Minnesota notified the Secretary orally, and additional states ratified later; we consider only those Secretary Knox considered.) Only four instruments repeat the language of the sixteenth amendment exactly as Congress approved it. The others contain errors of diction, capitalization, punctuation, and spelling. The text Congress transmitted to the states was: “The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration.” Many of the instruments neglected to capitalize “States,” and some capitalized other words instead. The instrument from Illinois had “remuneration” in place of “enumeration”; the instrument from Missouri substituted “levy” for “lay”; the instrument from Washington had “income” not “incomes”; others made similar blunders.

“Thomas insists that because the states did not approve exactly the same text, the amendment did not go into effect. Secretary Knox considered this argument. The Solicitor of the Department of State drew up a list of the errors in the instruments and--taking into account both the triviality of the deviations and the treatment of earlier amendments that had experienced more substantial problems--advised the Secretary that he was authorized to declare the amendment adopted. The Secretary did so....

...Secretary Knox declared that enough states had ratified the sixteenth amendment. The Secretary’ decision is not transparently defective. We need not decide when, if ever, such a decision may be reviewed in order to know that Secretary Knox’ decision is now beyond review.

    U.S. v. Thomas, 788 F.2d 1250 (7th Cir. 1986), cert. den. 107 S.Ct. 187 (1986).

There is a law concerning income taxes. It is codified in Title 26 U.S.C. http://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/html/uscode26/us...

The income tax laws have all been passed by Congress and signed into law by a President.

The Federal Reserve is not private, it is independent, there is a difference. The Federal Reserve is setup in accordance to law. http://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/html/uscode12/us...

You probably also heard that the Federal Reserve has never been audited. The following is a link to the Federal Reserve audit reports which are part of the Federal Reserves' annual report to Congress.

    1) Go back to your shrink. Have him either increase or decrease your meds. Something isn't quite right upstairs.

    2) The constitution gives congress the authority to impose taxes. The 16th amendment removed the apportionment clause and the resulting law is called "Title 26" (Look it up!)

    3) If you were correct. There would be hundreds if not thousands of court cases where people got out of paying their taxes using the theory you suggest. I challenge you to find one!

Your comments are not new. Tax Protesters have been around as long as the income tax inself and they have a perfect record in court. They have never gotten out of paying their taxes and they usually end up broke and alone. File your returns and pay your taxes, you will be much happier in the long run.

You are NOT a loser. I just came out of a relationship (I'm15) and it basically sucks. I know that had a been older the relationship would have worked. But the truth is that my ex was too young to handle my heart. Even though everyone says that you're supposed to be dating now, guys are not mature enough at 16 to take care of a girl. It's just the way it is. (Guys, believe what you want, but it's the honest truth and IT'S OKAY!) Save yourself for when you're older. Guys mature slower so it takes a little more time. I know it's hard, but if you can, I suggest waiting until you're in college. Having a boyfriend that's not in the same college as you sucks so don't take your bf from high school. But having a bf that does go to the same college...will MORE likely work out. So, even though it's not what the world considers "normal" it is perfectly ok.

Well, you are correct on one thing. The 16th Amendment isn't a law. It is, however, an AMENDMENT to The Constitution.

Bills are written by Congress and become laws when signed by the President OR if the President vetoes the bill and Congress overrides the veto. That's high school civics or government.

The rest of your "question" is just meaningless drivel, aka, a rant. Quite frankly, you haven't asked an actual question yet. Please do so, or just delete your post.

Congratulations, you are the first person from the fruitcake fringe to post today.

If the fact that they system has been in place and functioning and passing muster with the supreme court for over 80 years isn't enough to convince you they you are suffering from oxygen deprivation.

THINGS I DIDN'T KNOW UNTIL I SAW THEM ON THE INTERNET:

Nobody ever really landed on the moon - it was a giant hoax. What you saw on TV was filmed in Utah.

Elvis is still alive, and performing marriage ceremonies in Las Vegas.

It is unconstitutional for the government to tax your wages (income tax), and most of what we think of as income isn't really income anyway.

Excuse me now....I just won 2 million pounds in the online UK lottery when my email was randomly selected, and I have to go answer the email.....

This is one of those Amendments that result in differences of opinion. Personally, I pay my taxes. That being said, the IRS believes that we should all pay our taxes too. Check this website out, it explains the rumors as well as the facts.
