Can you ovuate if you don't have your period?
I have pretty irregular periods and I was wondering if you don't have your period can you still ovulate?
I am asking because I think I may be pregnant. My sister told me if don't have your period you don't ovulate so you can't get pregnant... Just wondering if it is true. I would love to get a test and know for sure but cuz it's christmas everything is closed. I don't think it's menapause I am only 24!!!

You can, unusual, but it can happen. Most of the time you need to have ovulated to have a period though. The egg is let out of the ovary, doesn't get fertilised, and then degrades and leaves while the uterus lining is being shed.

yes, everyone is different. why do you ask??? and even if you are on any sort of birth control its always a good idea to use spermicide to be sure, and condoms, not only as birth control method but to protect yourself and others from stds and other infections such as the human papiloma virus, that of which you can now get vaccination.

yes but you cant have a real period if your dont ovulate- your period is when your body releases the unfertilizes egg from your body.

Yes you can.
My doctor told me, when I was in my pre-menupause periode.
So protect yourself :-)
