Do Polishpeople still celebrate Christmas Eve dinner with fresh carp, red cabbage and mashed potatoes?

I was there for a short time in winter and I thought this particular Christmas meal was delicious and healthy! Is the tradition still alive or are folks trying alternatives like turkey now?

Most Slavs have meatless Christmas Eve dinners. We're Ukrainian and had perogies, cabbage rolls, and salmon.

Yes, as a matter of fact it is becoming MORE of a tradition. Aquamedia published a demand side report on carp and the demand for hoildays. Hope this helps.
