Should the Cubs or anyone take a chance on Sammy Sosa this year?

Sosa played a part time role last year and hit 21 homers. I think maybe that if someone should pick him up, but maybe not for what he is asking. He is the homerun king as I see it. Bonds and McGuire are on the steroid report. He can still hit.

Cubs, no. He's an American League only player now. Someone will give him a minor league contract and he'll have to swallow his pride and take it...or retire.

There is a boy inside the man in allof us. If Sosa did not have all the baggage on him, some team might take a chance. But It would be best if he just retired now. He gave us enoughf memories to last a lifetime. He was an exciting player.!

you people need to get off the drugs.....the angels need someone to protect Vladdy....they ought to pick up Bonds AND Sosa for cheap, as neither is in line for big money next year.Give them base contracts of 3 million dollars, laden with incentives, and you'll see some serious offense in Big A. They can basically share an outfield spot and the DH spot.

First off Sosa is on roids and no speak english when asked if he took roids. Plus there's no DH rule in the NL and Chicago has a good outfield and theres no need to add Sosa when all u get is horrible defense and okay bat

Yeah, I think he could be a great DH for a team in need of a clutch hitter. he had 92 RBIs in just 114 games last year, and could still be a threat. The Cubs should give him a 1-year deal, to give Felix Pie some time to grow.

He can still hit with some power but he is way beyond his ability to be a force and carry a team. Someone will pick him up but I wouldn't expect much out of him.

If you don't think Sammy is/was a juicer then you must be a Cubs fan...And a blind one at that.

take a look at his rookie cards on this link.

for me the sooner sosa leaves baseball the better, he is the biggest ham i have ever seen, and the corked bat thing makes me doubt his true talents.
