My dash board is cracked! really, really brittle and in pieces,
The black (shiny) trim on the (outside)pillar peeled off,
I smell coolant inside the cab after a trip,
u-joints have been replaced, and I keep hearing rumors that these trucks have transmission problems?!
accelleration is sluggish too!
I have about 82,000 miles (HWY and local)
Have you experienced any of the above problems? any advice!

your just having typical dodge problems especially with the dash they all will eventually crack that can be replaced though as for the transmission you will need to get that checked out at a transmission shop they will test drive it and tell you whats wrong with it,and its usually free in most cases, the running part maybe a tune up related item, have the computer scanned to make sure it doesn't have any trouble codes on it,it can all be straitened out,its a dodge, like any other vehicle its going to give problems, good luck hope you had a good x-mas.

My 2001 Ram Club Cab is in 100% perfect shape but its dash started to crack about 2 weeks ago due to cold weather. Accelleration was sluggish so I had a tune up and it runs great now. The transmission had to be replaced last Jan. You are having common DODGE problems.

I have a 2002 Dodge ram quad cab, with 47,000 miles, it is kept in the garage most of the time. I got it out the other day, and noticed a crack in the dash, about 8 inches long, It is a vertical crack between the radio and the glove box, but it is on the top of the dash. I believe chrysler should fix this problem. I realize it is 5 years old, but this truck has had excellent care

If you smell coolant check the front passanger floor board if its wet than your heater core is no more.As to transmissions they go fast, like the other guy said common dodge problems, sounds like you should have bought a Ford :P
