Dinner/meal courses/drinks etiquette question?

WHEN do I serve water at a formal dinner? after the fruits or after the desserts?

    The place setting should include a water goblet and both red and white wine glasses. Water is usually put in the goblets just prior to the guests sitting down at the table at the beginning of the meal.

    You may want to add a pitcher of water onto the table, too.

    i think you should serve it in special glasses before the dinner (before any food) just in case someone has a chink of food or something stuck in their throat, so they can reach the glass quickly and drink, because by the time they pour the water in the class you can imagine what will happen...

    When you put the water in the glasses make sure you serve everyone before you serve yourself, unless they tell you that they don't want more water

    The water goblet is on the table with water in the goblet before every one sits down for dinner....

    I would think water is the first thing to be served
