Who feels that people use a 'cell phone coversation'.........?

I wonder about that too. Sometimes I think it's their way to ward off social awkwardness when they're out and about by themselves.

I feel this is true and why do people feel the need to talk so loud while on their cell phone? Sometimes I wonder if there is even anybody else on the other end:)

done it. i realized that i was nervous riding marta late at night and i wanted to 'feel connected' and make it seem like i was 'aware'. dont ask me if it made any difference, but for me i did feel better to a degree. but otherwise sometimes i do talk louder when im not paying attention to what i am saying or being considerate to others in public if only to hear myself but i have toned it down. I think it was the newness of the phone and dang i have the hiccups right now and it hurts!

I feel that some people put a phone up to their ear to make themselves seem like an important person, and also I find it funny that some have a very serious face on, meanwhile they aren't talking to anyone.

Sometimes, I get the feeling people are using a fake conversation. Perhaps, they're just anxious about being alone..

i do that! but mainly because i use it as a means to prevent me from being kidnapped or something....
