my husband and i bought a vehicle (used) on Friday nite late. it was great saturday. Sunday it wouldnt crank
we called the dealership and they were closed till wednesday due to the christmas holiday. after we jumpstarted the vehicle the radio quit working, the overhead dome light went out and the electric lock wouldnt lock or unlock w/o the key in the ignition which it didnt do that prior. so he took the car back to the dealership today and they put a new battery in it and all the fuses blew. now they said we have to deal with the warrenty dept because we purched it friday and they arent responsible for doing anything anymore. can we argue and get our down payment back because it has not cleared the bank yet.

Herb pointed you in the right direction, but you need to check the law of your state. My state has a 3 (business) days right to void a contract for consumer good. Your vehicle is a consumer good and in my state you could return the car today and be free of the contract. Also, checking for your state's "lemon laws" is also a good idea. Even with "no warranty" or "as is", it should be fit for its intended purpose under the Unifrom Commercial Code and you cannot waive that warranty in my state. Try calling the consumer affairs division of your state's attorney general's office. It might be wise to return it to the dealership today and leave it so you don't miss any time deadlines. This is a state-specific question.

It sounds as if you too also bought a used car from a Ford dealership, or perhaps it is a Ford itself??? Either way, you are under warranty and really there should be no problems getting your money back. But expext the dealer to try pressuring you real hard not to back out of this deal. Take it as a sign that this car really is not the one.

Most States have some form of Buyer's Remorse law that should give you 3 to 5 business days to change your mind. Check with the BBB or Government on-line resources.

Yes, you may have purchased a lemon. Raise hell! Get the dealer to fix it right frickin' now! Make them rent you a car too. If all else fails, take them to court.

unless u did something to make the car stop functioning then its alright to complain about it because it wasn't ur fault thathappened to the car. so ya just try argueing about it.

check with the bureau of automotive repair in your state. Or check with the better business bureau.

Don't hold your breath. Be glad it has a warranty.
