Contact a licensed wildlife rehabilitator. You can find one here: http://www.tc.umn.edu/~devo0028/contact.htm
These people have the specialized training to care for sick, injured and orphaned wild animals. They also have the required state and federal licenses that allow them to keep the animals until they are healthy enough to be released back into the wild.
Do not call animal control or a law enforcement agency unless you want the animal destroyed. And "limping" does not mean "broken leg" so I would hate to see it destroyed before a professional got a chance to look at it and see if it can be saved.
Do not call the SPCA or any other agency that deals with domestic animals, they do not have the proper licenses to care for a deer.
If you can not get a licensed wildlife rehablitator, call your state DNR or the local office of the US Fish and Wildlife Service.

I hope that the deer will be ok. It's sad but life can be very harsh for wild animals.
There is always a chance that the deer's leg will heal on it's own. Many wild animals can survive the loss of a limb - even deer. Last winter I saw a wild three-legged deer. It got around without any problem - and was able to run very quickly. The neighbors said that the deer has been in the area for years.
Thanks for caring. The world needs more people like you who care about nature and the animals who share our world.

I'd call the Game Commission. Most likely they will put it down if it looks like it is hurt badly or give you permission to do it yourself. If it was hit by a car, they may let you keep it. You can donate it to a food bank if you're not comfortable with taking it to a butcher yourself. The ASPCA doesn't rehabilitate wild animals.

humane society or police- they will not heal it however, they will put it down quickly.
A deer with a broken leg will die- a deer can not survive with only 3 legs, and is an easy target for predators. Plus, if you take them in to captivity from the wild, they get so stressed out, 90% of the time they will die just from the move.

Either your local animal control or Game, Fish and Parks. (listed in the gov't pages of your phone book.) Good luck!

You need to call the animal control office in your town. They will come out and take care of the deer and get it well and then release it back into the wild.

Call your local police, either they will come out or call animal rescue for you.

Call the police and they will come shoot it. It won't live in the wild with a broken leg.
