What were some news stories that received little or no coverage by the maintream media (especially tv)?
I'm trying to compile a list and I want ten stories. Here's what I have so far that I feel have gone underreported in between breaking news of Brittney, Paris and Lindsey.
6 nukes accidentally loaded on a B-52 flown across America
Congress passes Violent Radicalisation and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act with almost overwhelming bi-partisan report. This bill seriously infringes on free speech especially on the internet.
No media coverage when it was discovered that the BBC had accidentally released achieved media of from 9/11 where they reported WTC 7 fell 23 minutes before it did.
Revelations on the Israeli attack on the USS Liberty confirm long held suspicions that the attacks were intentional.
What are some more?
I meant to say stories of 2007! Thanks though good stuff.

Here is a great one. The CDC was robbed and reportedly missing about 22 million in computers and undisclosed equipment just before the big TB scare. Remember that one? The CDC story was hushed up. It didn't even make TV just one headline on Yahoo news and it was claimed to be an inside job. It was also never disclosed if they found out who did it or what they took.
What about the "gut feeling" Michael Chertoff had? What ever happened to that?
Oh yeah what about the Operation Noble Eagle troops that were deployed to Washington DC. That was NEVER on the news. It only came out in a newspaper. That was also about the same time the nukes went flying over the US.

Here's a good one: Syria defended our embassy from a double truck bomb attack during the summer of last year (I believe it was around the time of the Lebanon-Israel war that lasted about 3 months). We are often told that Syria is an enemy, and we don't have good ties with them now, but do our enemies defend our embassies? Their were short blurbs in the news, but no one really paid any attention to the story because it went against the foreign policy that is spoon fed to us.

Or I like the anthrax scare we had right after 911 to get our minds off how the hell we could let 19 numnuts highjack four planes and hit 75% of their targets yet over half of them are still alive and well. They let the anthrax scare disapear once it was found out that it came from a US military base in s.Carolina.
I guess these stories arent important enough but thank god we are informed on a hours notice of paris and her nipple slip.

They do not report how ordinary US citizens write the truth about the corrupt Democrats, Republicans, and Corporate America that use the law enforcement and the military to enrich themselves. The few honest people that are Democrats, Republicans, and Corporate America lose out to those with blind ambition for Power and Wealth.
