i was taking a course at community college, a friend told me there is website thru hewit packard? maybe for word 2008, excel & powerpoint. I am really rusty and out of date at this and would like to be able to learn online

Hewlett-Packard, i think that's what you mean. And I don't think there is Word 2008 already on the market since it's only Word 2007 is available.
You can go to Microsoft Hompage to download their free stuff (lessons etc.) or you can go to w3schools.com and see if there is a tutorial for MS Word. and other Office Essentials
