there is no one way to describe a person and what one person is feeling another may not feel despite both patients having clinical depression.
I suggest seeing a doctor who has been trained to detect clinical depression to see whether you have it or not........it may be the case that you have a different type of problem all together

Well, you basically feel like a train wreck for no particular reason and like you wish the world would stop. It goes on and on and no matter how much you rationalize positive things or thoughts or advice, it just can't reach where you "live", you can't feel it or use it, even though you want to.
Things that should be fun and you think were fun or could be fun, just aren't and you find yourself pretending to like things and be happy. You have to fake surpised reactions and happy responses cause you don't really feel them but don't want others to know it, to know you feel "like that" still, or again.
Everything that meant something, doesn't really mean anything anymore and you want it to but, can't make it.
Just a part of my perspective.

The recent ad campaign on TV for Cymbalta (I think it was) described it very well IMHO. "Depression hurts" was the tag line. The visual affect of the ad was very representative.
