Do people listen to metal in the Ghetto?
just curious XD
Im not trying to implying anything. But i just dont seem to notice any gangster picking up a guitar twang a chord and start screaming about their street problems. I mean metal would be the perfect ideal genre for the situation.

Well, the thing is, people in the ghetto rap about things like life on the street, and rape.
Meanwhile metal brings, rather than a situation into coordination, it requires pure skill to make it possible.
Rap however, doesn't require quite the vocals as much as it does speed, and Metal requires pure skill, rather than the thought of mind.
However, most rappers lack the thought of mind anyways, therefore making rap perfect for the ghetto, because both the ghetto and their rap music suck.

mostly not...your environment mostly depicts what music you listen to, at least this is true for kids growing up, so if most of your friends listen to rap, chances are thats what you will learn to love
however, as you mature you start to stray away from the mainstream and apreciate other music
i noticed that if you force yourself to listen to a genre of music, eventually you will enjoy and appreciate it (happened to me plenty of times) so there may be a few who listen to metal but very few

And your definition of the Ghetto would be what exactly? But why wouldn't they listen to metal I don't think where you live really affects your taste in music

It actually depends on what type of music that person really likes, but usually the answer is no.
