Calling out MRkeef on OSU schedules. Can you not see past your nose?
I saw a particularly dumb question you had asked. You were obviously upset very few people agreed with your answer.
I asked why Schedule doesnt matter for Ohio State but does for other teams such as Hawaii and Kansas University.
Ohio State did not beat a single quality team and even loss to a less then great team yet they get to be #1?
Their schedule is NOT tougher then KU's or Hawaii's
Yes all 3 team played cupcakes. However a cupcake is a cupcake. Whether you play Kent State or Idaho. The concept is unless you are Michigan, you win.
The one exception is Hawaii playing Boise State AT Boise
State. That was the quality win that Ohio State lacks.
So both teams have as good a record as Ohio State .. played same quality schedule.. yet they get heavily penalized for strength of schedule but Ohio State does not??!!
The fact that Ohio State is in the championship game validates my question.
In my opinion both Hawaii and KU deserve it more.
Lets penalize osu for scheduling

I would say you are exactly correct on your analysis.
Mrkeef seems to think since they made it to the championship game that they obviously did not get the benefit of a double standard.
However the fact they are there shows how glaringly obvious the double standard is.
Ohio State may very likely not have even made the championship game if their conference had a title game like the legitimate conferences do.
If they held the same standards to every team, Ohio State would NOT be in the championship game.
They got a bonus for "tradition" as was noted in the best answer

are you kidding SEC fans criticized OSU last year for looking past Florida, but they are doing the same to the Buckeyes. You have some of the most hypocritical fans ever.
1st off I believe the Buckeyes schedule strength was stronger than Hawii I'm sure.
not to mention we had 1 loss LSU has two losses so don't be a hypocrite, while you're calling someone a hypocrite.
If there should be any questions it's how did LSU drop from 7 to 2 after barely winning the championship, and having 2 losses. That would be my question and how are they going to talk about unfair when they have a home game.
Jack smirking revenge is another ignorant SEC fan without the correct facts, the Buckeyes beat 2 or 3 #2 teams last year, I can't remember, Florida was the 3rd or 4th #2 team they played, I think they were the 3rd the Buckeyes beat Texas who was #2 and Penn State who also was #2

Exactly right!
It can't be said better
A CUPCAKE IS A CUPCAKE!!!!!!
So amusing that big 10 fans try to distinguish between them.
Yes I agree Kent State is slightly better then some of the teams Hawaii played, but they are still a cupcake guaranteed win.
It's like saying "well the 10 teams we beat were all rated 2 out of 10 and the teams you played were all rated 1 out of 10"
Big whoop they were all essentially sure wins.
And to the fellow claiming big 10 conference is tough?
You got to be joking me. The big 10 should be renamed the powderpuff conference. Purdue struggled to beat Central Michigan and that will likely be the only big 10 bowl win this year
Last year they won 2 lost 6..
As for the SEC and LSU, yeah they lost twice but they are a lot more deserving then OSU. They actually had quality wins. Oh wait OSU beat Youngstown State.. is that their quality win?
OSU did not beat a single top 25 team.

I agree with you that Ohio State plays a terribly weak schedule year in and year out because the Big Ten is not what it used to be. Basically, if they beat Michigan in the last game of the season, they automatically head to the title game. The reason Hawaii gets penalized more than Ohio State is that they don't play in a BCS conference. The reason Kansas gets penalized more than Ohio State is because they didn't win their conference. If you don't win your conference, nobody is going to vote for you to go to the title game no matter what. Georgia is crying the same foul as Kansas, but they didn't even make it to the SEC championship game. Try to take comfort in the fact that both Kansas and Hawaii are in BCS bowls. That's about the only consollation I can offer at this time.

A Big Ten schedule is not a cupcake schedule. If you think playing in the Big 10 is so easy, bring your poor excuse for a college program and join the Big 10. And if Kent and the rest of the MAC is sooo easy why isn't your poor excuse for a program playing them. Let's hear your excuses.

according to Rivals.com.
Hawaii SOS ranked 117/120
Ohio State SOS ranked around 40-50.
thats pretty big
is this the same Boise State team that also lost to E. Carolina? yeah, that is quality.
hmmm, seems like a lot of the teams Ohio State beat are playing bowl games, Penn State, Wisconsin, Michigan, Purdue, etc. I bet any of them could beat Hawaii.

SO you couldnt find anything better to do with ur life so you had to "call out" an imaginary friend online and debate about a sport that you have never played in ur life? What a pity

none of those teams are deserving because they had weak schedules. even LSU is undeserving, they had several opportunities given to them and still lost. i think if their is any argument here is that Georgia should be playing in the NC game.
