What is a good diet aide to help boost metabolism?
I am 43, post menopausal and seem to to keep gaining weight. I have to admit I am not a great exerciser, not that I am lazy, just not fun to do alone. I seem to keep getting a little belly, and it just bugs the crap out of me. Have any suggestions?

None.
Diets DO NOT boost metabolism. They slow it down.
Excercise is the key.

The best way to boost your metabolism is exercise. The more you do, the faster your metabolic rate will be. Also you must eat breakfast, even if it is only a piece of toast. This gets your metabolism started in the am. If you skip breakfast, you slow your metabolism down. Age will tend to slow it, but exercise will help to restore it.

adding cinnamon to your oatmeal (or anything) will help, hot sauces...
you need to eat every 2 and a half hours. a protein and fruit or protein and vegetable. eat 4 times a day. don't eat carbs or sugar.
walk. it doesn't have to be fast. just walk. start small. i started with walking to the end of the drive and back (I was very depressed). Then I walked 2 minutes away from the house and back. I did that for a week. Then I walked 5 minutes away from the house and came back. I never went beyond my goal for the week, even if I felt like it. Then the next week I added a little more.
Best wishes.

I don't know of any diet aides, but when you do exercise, try to do it in the morning. Doing so will raise your metabolism for the rest of the day.

stay away from sugars and starchy carbs, lots of 'WHOLE FOODS'. Boost metabolism=4-5 small meals every 3 hours! feed your body throughout the day, not 3 times a day. NO SODA, NO FAST FOOD, NO FRIED FOOD!

Use any sort of calorie shifting diet. They do not slow your metabolism! I did FatLoss4Idiots last year and dropped nearly 40 lbs without messing with my metabo.

Spicy foods and fresh veggies are the best. Also, drink plenty of water each day and limit your caffine intake. Yoga is also very good for stretching and toning muscles.

cinnamon? sorry i was reading some of the answers to your question.i do now that cinnamon does help you body burn sugars but that is not all you will need. Ofcourse good exercise and a balnced low fat diet will help but my friend was taking chromium piccolinate its natural and it helps burn fat.
p.s. dont try relacore plis, it has bad publicity, google it and see for yourslef

get a blood test to test your thyroid...it regulates your metabolism...If it isn't working properly you will gain weight even if you starve yourself.
If they discover that is the culprit, you will take one pill a day, lose weight, and eventually feel like working out and then the weight loss really begins..
Otherwise I recommend walking more and eating less...
