How can i go from Champaign to Chicago?

Forget taxi. Even if you find a driver willing to go all the way there, between the fare and gas, you'd go broke.

If you're trying to get there this weekend, it's going to be pretty expensive. The further you book a flight or train in advance, the cheaper it will be.

Again, that is the price assuming you are leaving this weekend (today actually), so if it interests you, act fast.

Other than that, if you want cheaper, check Greyhound (http://www.greyhound.com/home/). According to their websit, standard fare is $39.50, a "non-refundable" fare is $20, whatever that means.

Champaign To Chicago

Definately take the Metra. There is a station right in Champaign that takes you all the way to Chicago. Check out rates at Metra.com. Don't waiste your money on a taxi because that will be too expensive.

taxis are the most expensive things ever. i don't know about any trains that go from champaign to chicago. maybe the metra does, but i'm not positive. the cheapest mode of transportation would be a bus. try www.pacebus.com.

I have a small livery service and may be able to take you one way by luxurious Lincoln Town Car for a mere $100 since I go 2/3 of the way down there to visit my mom anyway. Next weekend is probably out though, but contact me if you'd ever be interested in the future. We'd have to leave perhaps late in the evening after my visit.

Check Illini Shuttle (http://www.illinishuttle.com/). It goes from either the Armory or Illinois Terminal (Bus/Amtrak station) to O'Hare, Oakbrook mall, Midway Airport, Shaumburg Mall (Woodfield). From Midway or O'Hare, you can take the 'L' for a buck or 2, depending on where you are going.

Costs around $26.00 one-way.
