You need the opera browser to search the web, it can be found on the wii shopping channel and costs 500 wii points.

Go to the virtual shop channel, then WiiWare and you'll see channels. Find the internet channel, you'll see that it costs 500 points. You should have gotten 700 points with your Wii, or at least I did, download the internet channel, it won't take long. And there you go! You should also check out the virtual console, they have games on there like Super Mario Bros. the original which is free to download! Some of them cost about 500 points but you can buy 1000 for 10 bucks, In my opinion, it's a good deal.

for the search engines you have to buy the internet channel in the wii shop channel. either pay 5 dollars or buy some wii points and purchase the internet channel from the wii shop channel.
