Did Xtians buy their kids "Guitar Hero III" for Xmas despite having Iron Maiden's "Number of the Beast" (666)

In a scene before the user battle's Satan to beat the game, the user plays "Number of the Beast" a song that features the chant "6-6-6".

Is "Guitar Hero III" an instrument of the devil? Is this perhaps the most un-Christian game out there? Why isn't the Catholic League and the fundies up in arms about this but they're up in arms about "The Golden Compass"?

Update 2:

"Torches blazed and sacred chants were praised

as they start to cry hands held to the sky

In the night the fires burning bright

the ritual has begun Satan's work is done

666 the Number of the Beast

Sacrifice is going on tonight"

They war is really against ideas and ways of thinking, therefore they only get up in arms about ideas that are available in the same forms as their ideas that may actually cause a person to think. Guitar Hero only requires repetitive play and is tossed aside after the game has ended... The Golden Compass, on the other hand, forces people to draw parallels between the story and what they see in real life.

The song never claims that Satan's work is good or that it should be done. It never glorifies Satan's work. It is just the story or description of a nightmare the singer (narrator) had.

Is Dante's Inferno evil? The 666 thing came from the Bible. Is the Bible then evil???

I don't know what an Xtian is, but as a Christian, no, I did not buy that for my kids for Christmas. Nor would I ever. Not that I am afraid of the lyrics, but I do not need the negativity in my life or my child's.

Fundie here that bought it for my kids for Christmas. Know the lyrics to the song well (wasn't a Christian in my youth and this was one of my favorite bands). This song is not encouraging Satan worship, it is doing the opposite, warning you to stay away from it.

Christians are very well aware of these things. We actually check things out before buying them for our kids.

Have you any idea how many "instruments of the devil" there are out there?

The Bible tells us that satan prowl around on the earth like a roaring lion waiting to find something to devour. We read our Bibles, and it gives us what we need to know to live. God Bless

Maybe they're too worn out from boycotting and complaining about The Golden Compass.

I can't believe you would waste your time asking this question.

My family and I are Christians, and yes my brother got this game for Christmas.

do you think children that want the game will actually tell their parents it was on the game?
