Tylenol is worse for the liver, but even it isn't bad taken only occasionally in small doses. If you really want to help your liver, avoid alcohol. Also be sure that you're vaccinated against Hepatitis B (go ahead and get a Hep A vaccine while you're at it, though it usually doesn't cause permanent liver damage).

You should go to the ER and tell the triage nurse what you did!!! Excesses of motrin or tylenol can cause kidney and or liver failure depending on how much you take and what you take. Deaths from these things are slow and painful. I don't think the amount you have taken would be a reason to get your stomach pumped, but it depends on what other health problems you have and what other meds you take. The hospital can help you get some mental health help and take care of any pain you maybe having. Do not experiment with OTC drugs !! It can be dangerous especially if you drink alcohol. Good luck getting treatment, you sound like you need help. You can also call Poison Control or a suicide hotline in your area for anonymous help. I have worked in a hospital for 17 years, but i am not a nurse,,,, so seek help, please.

I am a pharmacist so I can tell you that Tylenol (acetaminophen) can destroy your liver if taken in too high amounts. If you are taking Tylenol you do NOT want to take more than 4 grams daily. Broken down, this is 4000 milligrams, or 8 Tylenol daily. Each capsule contains 500 milligram so if you multiply that by 8 capsules, you have reached the upper limit. The liver question is a different one altogether . There is an herbal product called Milk Thistle that helps to cleanse the toxins from the liver.

Motrin!! I went to the doctor and told her I was taking 2 every 4 hours for the past 3 days, she told me to immediately stop! She told me to take Tylenol if I needed to take pain pills in that excess.

Almost all allopathic drugs have hazardous side effects because whatever we eat is synthesized in liver. Hence stomach is the first victim which can result in acidity or ulcer.
Liver is the second organ.
Intestines is the third resulting in constipation, inflammation and ulcer.
Kidney is the fourth. The increasing rate of kidney failures is due to these drugs only, because the drugs are the most pure form of matter and attack tissues as they come in kidneys via blood stream for excretion.
There is no medicine for H/A OR MIGRAINE. Not only these but for RA, OA, Back ache and almost all painful diseases. Hence they become chronic.
Acidity, WORRY, sadness, excessive wind, cold , heat, sour food and sinusitis, constipation, intestinal inflammation; drug side effects, stress, bad smell, TV & COMPUTER SOMETIMES, Blockage in the flow of Vital Energy, BODY CONSTITUTION etc are their causes. None of them can be treated with medicine. Our 100% success in treating migraine &H/A confirms it.
Acupuncture is the best treatment for chronic and SU-JOK acupressure for acute problems.
I can treat it with naturopathy and YOG, but how can you manage pl see.
Pain killers don't treat the pain but we loose the sense of pain for some time; in that duration our body itself treats sometime and credit goes to meds.
The useless drugs have tremendous power of side effects like liver/kidney failures, ulcer, inflammation of intestines and lot more.
Avoid late sleeping if possible; worry, tension, spicy foods, sour fruits, stale bakery foods, SMOKING and alcohole also.
Fresh foods, COCOANUT WATER, fruits, milk, SPROUTS, SALADS, daily exercise and good sleep will help.
