Why is the Emerald Bowl being played at AT&T Park?

AT&T Park is a stadium specifically designed for baseball. Why isn't the game being played at Monster Park where the NFL's 49ers play?

To my knowledge there has never been a college game played at Candlestick Park ( I just flat-out refuse to call it anything else). The stadium is owned and operated by the city and county of San Francisco and that might have something to do with it. They probably made the decision somewhere along the line that the stadium is reserved for the 49ers alone, concerning football.

Probably because of what Monster park's owners wanted to charge to host it
