I don't mean to be rude, but if YOU were experiencing rapid weight loss and bloody stool wouldn't you go to the doctor? Of course something is wrong. The sooner you act the better. Waiting will just cause the condition to worsen and cost you more in vet bills or even your dogs life.

It can mean anything really. The most simple problem is an irritation in the intestine which is nothing serious and will clear up on its' own.
However, you say your dog is loosing weight, this should be an indicator to you that things aren't quite right and you should be heading to the Vets.

if your noticing a weight loss, you really need to get him to the vet.
blood in stool could be a sign of many things, including tumors, infections
mine had mild blood (no weightloss) from chewing/eating a pencil, and things in the garbage.

he could have a heart worm or worms also it is not good to feed dogs bones the bones splinter and cannot digest .when a dog gets older can cause bleeding of the rectal area. sounds serious if you can not afford to take your pet to the vet there are Doctor that donate time for those who cannot offord to seek care for their pets.

Could be a sign of Parvo if left untreated it will lead to death .Please have the dog seen to by a vet ASAP.
