How Do We Keep Democrats' Socialism From Destroying America?

I do not believe that Obama is on the right path to solving the financial situation and he has the influence to destroy America. When Joe Biden said during the campaign that President Barack Obama was going to face a crisis right out of the gate, it wasn't a wild guess. He was stating half of the elemental strategy of the Obama administration: HAVE A CRISIS. Biden went on to say that when that crisis arose, Americans should stand shoulder to shoulder with the Dear Leader, no matter what he chose to do, and he warned that "initially, it's not going to be apparent that we're right." Obama's chief of staff, Rahm Emanuel, gave us the other half of the administration's strategy soon after the election in a talk with Wall Street Journal staffers: "You never want a serious crisis to go to waste. And what I mean by that is an opportunity to do things that you think you could not do before." So, have a crisis and use it to get things you want that you couldn't have gotten from people who weren't frightened. Repeat as necessary. Want to appoint a tax cheat secretary of the treasury? Just tell everyone you're in a big hurry because of the financial crisis. Want to hand out, in one fell swoop, more pork and more paybacks to more favored political constituencies than anyone has ever handed out before? Write a spread-the-wealth bill like the one the House of Representatives just passed. Just be sure to call it a stimulus. Want to grow government beyond comprehension and make it the master of health care, energy, education, finance and, through regulation, business? Don't declare the crisis solved until you've passed enough phony stimuli to complete your whole hidden agenda. o_O

Our hope is to keep at least 45 Republicans as U S Senators. They can do a lot of fulibusting. This is one way. The other is to organize the Republicans as Newt did in 1994. This is creating a new contract with America. This contract admit their mistake and promises to fix the problems in the future.

VOTE!!! Not enough of us vote, and we need to, especially this time. And not just presidential races, but senate and house races, and local also. Educated votes too. And keeping family values in society by teaching our children right from wrong, and to work for what they have, instead of holding their hands out.

This rant doesn't even make sense. The only example of "Socialism" you can give is the public school system. So should we eliminate it and tell parents if they want their kids to get and education then pay for private school? This would create even more dropouts especially among the poor who could not pay for private school.

And as to the welfare state, there is no welfare state only temporary programs such as state unemployment insurance and TANF.

Teach Americans one at a time that we have a better vision for America, while periodically noting what the democrats do.

Are you aware Bush's 2003 Medicare bill is estimated to cost the American taxpayer 1.2 trillion dollars?!

This is the largest socialized giveaway in the history of the U.S.

But, oh yeah, right...it's the Dems that are giving everything away according to the brain dead neo-cons.

And what about illegal immigration? Bush has had 7 years to close our borders and his biggest accomplishment is arresting a bunch of illegal janitors cleaning up some factory.

Boy! I feel safer already!

The truth is, the repubs don't want to stop illegals, because this would hurt big business. They just see the importance of using this issue as a political tool to rally the uninformed voters.

Just as republicans would be prepared to vote for Guiliani, eventhough he's Pro-Choice?!!

Just proves that the neo-cons don't care about ending abortion either, because it would end a big part of their campaign tool to get the stupid to vote for them.

If you're truely a Bush family member, you'd better hurry up and move down to that land in Paraguay you're buying up, before the U.S. has all of you arrested for betraying our Constitution and committing war crimes.

The US is never going to be socialist ever! but a free health care system for everyone is that socialism or a mark of a normal rich country and just how would that destroy America. Sweden is capitalist but there standard of living is way above the United States and the rest of Europe

Your family member added to the social program expense with the prescription drug program without the benefit of negotiations with the drug companies. Also the No Child Left Behind Act. He is for amnesty for the illegals who, by law, are entitled to free education and emergency medical care. This all happened while the Republicans still had a majority in the House and Senate. I guess you stop the Democrats Socialism from destroying the country by letting the Republican Socialists continue to destroy it.
