i have a buisness idea 4 my plumbing co. i own and am the only plumber i need $ for trucks to employ plumbers?

so i can make more $$ for the co. here is wheat i thought. we all have senior realitives such as grandmas grandpas. i would like to have 1 to 2 trucks working just for our seniors for free like free service calls. how can i start this? to even do it i need 10 trucks working to actually make enough $ tocover cost and me still make a good living.. do i go to the news stations to get the word out and ask for donations say a goal of $250.000.00 for trucks and tools and advertisment cost to keep afloat. i would keep working for the seniors for free forever. i know i would be swamped with work but two trucks for them city of 1 million 8 calls a day per truck. = alot of happy seniors. how can i start this?? thank you!

Update:

i have already been in buisness for 10 years and make by myself a gross 100k i net around 50k with wife and 5 kids i never seem to have any extra money to save or even use to expand. i feel trapped and hate to ask for loans.???

Go to http://www.score.org/ and in the upper left hand corner, enter your zip code. On the next screen, you will get information on the nearest SCORE chapter. Call them and arrange for a free meeting with a SCORE counselor.

SCORE is a nonprofit association dedicated to entrepreneur education and the formation, growth and success of small business nationwide. SCORE is a resource partner with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).

SCORE has 389 chapters in locations throughout the United States and its territories, with 10,500 volunteers nationwide. Both working and retired executives and business owners donate time and expertise as business counselors.

This is going to sound so simple you'll wonder why you didn't think of it before - target senior family members. Seniors are on fixed incomes, many have family members who supplement their income and may like the idea that their parents have someone to call in an emergency. You can set it up on a small monthly plan or annual fee.

Next, find your local AARP chapter, look for senior centers in your yellow pages and anywhere else you can think of that caters to the elderly in your area.

Once you have a list, start talking to them about your idea and leave money out the picture. Why? Because you are limiting the help you can get. What if someone, a car dealership or trucking company offered you the use of their trucks, would you say 'no'?

Next, talk to your city council members, one by one if need be and let them in on what you want to do. It's an election year coming up, think getting a bit of publicity for helping the seniors in their area would help their campaign? You never know.

Think about your objective: Help senior citizens in your city with their plumbing needs. It's not to get a loan to buy trucks and tools. Focus on the end result, helping seniors.

Use the media too. Call around your to your local radio and tv stations, ask to speak with the the person who handles local news. Start with you want to find out if they know who to speak with about senior services in your service because.....now tell your story. Again, forget the money you're building momentum to get what you need to reach your objective.

    Good luck.

I have no idea why Tex would tell you not to borrow money. You're going to have to, because know one can afford ten trucks all in one go...most people can't afford even one. Then, you'll have to figure out what it takes to be a volunteer and have support from donations. There are laws in place and government policies and the like. I would contact the government first...just the call centre and ask who you would talk to about starting up this sort of business. Then, you'll likely have to talk to a bank and get them behind you as well. Good luck ( It's nice to see someone who is working hard for the people they care about).

You must start slow and small if you do not have the money to do otherwise. Don't borrow if at possible. Don't be a hurry to be rich. Take it nice and slow and get expert help from someone that knows the business.

Check that your projections are realistic. Then talk to the bank about factoring invoices and raising a start up loan.
