WHICH RELATIONSHIP SCENARIO would you choose?

Question

First scenario.
You're 17 and he's 18. You see your significant other everyday and your parents are supportive of your relationship with him. You're also happy with the fact that he gave you a promise ring. You two are in perfect bliss and believe your both meant for each other. Everything in your eyes seem perfect. You are so in love. You both have been going out for a year.

Second scenario.
You're 20 and he's 19. You're in an inter-racial relationship with your boyfriend and your parents don't like him cause of his race, yet you get along with his parents. You two communicate a lot and understand each other well. You also know how to fix problems out when there is an issue. You're also in a long-distance relationship in college which is going great even though you see each other twice a year. You two have been going out for three years. Despite the external problems you've managed to stay together. 

Between these two relationship scenerios, which one would you pick, and why?

The second you two communicate even over long distances race should not matter go with your heart just because he gave you a ring does not mean that he well always be there. If he can not let you have your friends and color should not matter at any point. Marry the first guy and find out that it not all that blissful. Loss the second guy and loss a friend and your true love. Only you know. think hard and long talk a lot see what make you like this second guy so much and why for three years you two are still together. and get back with me.

First scenario. Because 1. familiarity breeds better understanding while long distance relationship usually breed romantic illusions about the other that are shattered when you live in close proximity and 2. because often parents know better than their children about life and the approval of the parents (sometimes, not always) may be indicative that the first relationship is more solid than the second. Unless race really is the only issue that the second couple's parents have against the boyfriend, which I find hard to believe.

The second relationship, because relationships never end with a fairytale, and if you can stand up to the hatred, and you can work through your problems and he gets along with his parents, it's probably likely to work better in the end. You've been with him for a longer time, and you understand each other, and that'st hard to get in a relationship. The age difference proves that even though its wierd, it doesn't matter and you still love each other through your differences. Plus, intermixed relationships are always cool, and they usually work out well in the end. And you'd have sexii kids =)

I would pick the first scenario because I have been in a long distance relationship and it was hard. It would be very difficult for me to ever do it again.

Well I guess it would depend on my heart... The two relationships are similar... two happy couples... forget the ignorant family in scenario two...

What would matter is if I truly loved the person... and if I did... I'd pick either one!

i would choose scenario 1 because the words "are so in love" are used. but you half to go with what you want the most or youre not gonna be real happy
