How to make MPEG files out of a DVD?

I want to get some movies into my ipod...

    Download a program called handbrake. It will rip the DVD to your computer and put it into mpeg 4 format. Just google it. It should be like the first link.

    use DVD SHRINK (look it up on google) to rip video off your DVD and then use a video converter such as SUPER by erightsoft to convert it to an ipod MP4 format video, then use itunes to place it on your ipod.
