What do you think of schools having certain immunity in thier actions-like diplomatic immunity? They do...?

They have certain immunities when it comes to how they handle our children. We found this out the hard way. I am very interested in opinions on how administrators and certain other people have ruined the educational process by hiding behind immunity laws.

Update:

We had an incident with my son where he was left with scissors at age 6 alone in a room and everyone there claimed they were watching him. We contacted a lawyer who told us that the schools have certain immunity when it comes to how they handle children. I am very interested in everyone's opinion-I feel that administrators and other people at our public schools have ruined the educational process and some people have gotten too big for thier britches. What do you think?

Update 2:

he was left alone in a tiny room by the principal of the school with everyone claiming to watch him. The teacher didnt do it

Home schooling may be an option for you.

When a teacher has a class of six-year-olds, it would be unreasonable to expect her to provide one-on-one supervision for each child. Most six year old children are capable of cutting out things with scissors without injuring themselves or other students.
