Yes. A funny story -- someone on this site earlier asked where he can find some bloody bathroom items (such as shower curtains, toothbrush holders, a soap dish, etc)... At first, I thought he was just using British slang... But after I read the additional details to his question, I found out that he & his girlfriend are trying to go with a scary, goth-type Halloween theme all throughout their house. So he literally meant "bloody." LoL.
But in MOST cases, yeah. It's a form of British cursing slang.
