Saving my Non-stick pan from oblivion?
I read someplace that a chef suggested reconditioning in a non stick pan by low cooking an olive oil and kosher salt recipe. Anyone heard of this or knows anything about it. thanks

I have nearly resurrected mine. Each time after I use it I will rinse it out, to clean and then rub-in a splash of oil.
Occasionally I will re-temper it.
If it has become convex there is little you can do.

Never heard of that, but if your pan is in bad shape, should not hurt anything.
One thing about non stick pans... never wash them in the dish washer. The soap used in dish washers will strip off an anodized coating... that is what makes your non stick pan non stick.
