What might happen to a cell if it spent too much time in interphase?

    cells spend most of their time in interphase. this is where they become mature. if it spends too much time, then it just becomes fully developed. it may swell a bit, but no big deal.

    Interphase is whilst the cellular grows and consists of on its primary purposes. Many, many cells stay in interphase all of the time and by no skill divide. additionally, the stages of mitosis do no longer take very long in any respect, so they gained't make up lots of the cellular cycle even in cells of a root tip.
