Recipe to use with pizza stones?

Someone gave us two personal pizza stones, maybe 6-8 inches each? They are in a pizza for two box, but no directions. I don't know how to make the dough, how long to cook it, how to make the sauce, nothing. Help!

    You can use pizza stones as you would any baking pan. They are especially good for breads and rolls. Just make sure to cook something with high fat on they to season them. Canned biscuits work especially well for this. Don't use soap. Just scrape them and use hot water.

    As for recipies for pizza doughs, sauce etc try any good recipe site like allrecipes.com

    This is for a basic pizza crust - you can flavour it, sub 1/4 wheat gluten for regular flour, add olive oil, basil, etc.. and experiment a little.

    Making dough is simple - it's going to be about 2 3/4 of flour to a cup of yeast.

    I use the powdered yeast and activated it over a cup of warm water (barely hotter than your body, it should feel comfortably warm to your touch) with a teaspoon of sugar dissolved in it. Let the yeast sit until it foams up on top and looks like a frothy cappuccino top.

    Put about two cups of the flour into a bowl (or a food processor, or your Kitchen Aide with the dough hook attached) and make a well in the middle, then pour the yeast water into the center and start mixing it into the flour, I use my hands. You want to work it out to a soft dough that sticks to itself, so when all the yeast is mixed into the flour, start adding the rest, slowly until you have a dough ball that is sticking to itself. Make it into a dough ball, and place it into a bowl grease with olive oil, cover it with either a tea towel or some loose saran wrap and place it someplace warm to rise for about 45 minutes. After 45 minutes, punch the middle with your fist (like you're joking, not angry) and then let it rise for another 15 minutes, then divide the dough, and on a floured surface, knead it and roll it out to your pizza shape. :)

    Top it as you wish and then place it on the HOT pizza stone (500 degree oven) and bake it until the edges are golden brown. I suggest brushing the edges with olive oil.

    As far as the sauce goes, when I short-cut I buy the Ragu pizza sauce at the store, it's pretty good. Here is a recipe that is some what similar to the sauce recipe I use, but I do it all from raw tomatoes and boil it for hours, and I don't have exact measurement for mine, as I just throw whatever in based on what tomatoes I am using:

    * 1 clove garlic, mashed and minced

    * 1/2 teaspoon salt

    * 1 can (6 ounces) tomato paste

    * 1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce

    * 1/2 teaspoon sugar

    * 1/8 teaspoon pepper

    * 1/2 teaspoon oregano

    * 1 tablespoon olive oil

    * dash red pepper, optional

    Mix it all together and bring to a simmer over medium heat for 15 minutes or until combined, taste and adjust seasonings, then it's ready to go.

    Hope this helps.
