Ford Focus 2001, How do I replace the Halogen headlight bulb.?

The owners manual says to swing the retaining spring out of the way and remove the bulb, but the spring doesn't want to move.

    The owners manual says to {"swivel" the wire clip to the side}

    I'm not sure if that makes a difference but I would try twisting it a bit as you try to move it to the side.

    I have a copy of the (4th edition) of your owners manual, complete with diagrams on page 245.

    This link is right from Ford's website. It is in pdf format.

    I hope this helps.

    The manual linked does not show the retaining clip, nor does the owner's manual. I still do not know how to remove the retaining clip.

    It seems like I will break a wire or the plastic if I swivel as suggested by the manual.
