slow cooker capacity question?
What size, (really capacity or interior volume), is best for cooling food for 2 people?

I just downsized to the 4 qt one. I am thinking that for two people myself. This way, I do get some leftovers. Anything else would be too big. There is one like mine on sale this week at Target I think. A cool red oval one.

I am going to take a stab and say that you mean cooking & not cooling.. If it is cooling, You cannot cool food in a cooker. However, if your looking to cook in it, I would recommend the smallest capacity which I believe is 3 Qt. That way if there is anything left, then it is easily frozen in the freezer. If you are looking more towards making chili's etc, then I would highly suggest a larger cooker only so you can make more and freeze that as well.

For cooking I would never recommend a very small slow cooker.
Get at least a cooker for 6 portions. I am not in a position to recommend to you as it was a novelty at first but I haven't used it in about 3 years. Both of my daughters in law have them and used them on and off for a few months and now they gather dust as well.
I have a 6qt one because I wanted to make pot roasts in it. I find I prefer my pot roasts on the stove top.

When it was just two of us, I used a small 2 quart cooker.
My new 6 quart cooker makes it look like a little toy.
