I was offered a job in Oklahoma City OK, is it a good place to raise a family?

The NW part of OKC is the most desirable. It has the better schools, shopping, and restaurants. You may have to do a little looking to find what you can afford. I lived there for ten years. You might even consider some of the smaller communities on the west side (ie. Bethany and Warr Acres). There are many things to do there with children. You are have 3 major highways going through OKC. You are in the middle of the state, so traveling to another part is not difficult.

As a person who has moved several times with a younger child I have this important advice.

1) go to the chamber of commerce for any packets of information they can give you on the city

2) go to the school district office for any information they can provide; see if they have a zoning map for the different schools in the area you want

This may help you to decide what areas you would like to look for places to live.

Yes. The best area to live is North West Oklahoma City. But the best schools are in Edmond, which is right by OKC. The traffic is not bad at all! The cost of living is one of the lowest, and you should be alright on a single income.

Oh, I LOVE the northwest side. I belive you should enroll your child into Putnam City, as they are really good schools, but only available for the northwest and the west areas of the metro. Hope to see you on the Northwest Side!

Ok its a very good place but obnly the problem is that you need to have a income source a little bit more to live there.
