Mastitis Breast Infection Help?

I have a mastitis infection on my one of my breasts. I have reacently seen the doctor and I am on antibiotics. I am not nursing and I'm DEFF not the age to even be thinking about kids. BUT after taking the antibotics for two days now, I have been experiencing itchiness where the lump is... is that normal?! please help.

    The itchiness might be the antibiotics working. Or it could be a possible allergic reaction.. You should ask your doc just in case.

    If you have been only taking the antibiotics for the infection for about two days now and the breast is itching. Then you might have some time of allergic reaction or it can possibly be that the lump is going away little by little. However, I would advice that you should talk with a pharmacist, or a nurse from a hospital or your doctor to see if it is normal for that to be happening in which most of the time they will eventually tell you to come in to check it out.

    I got mastitis when I was nursing and when it started to heal after being on antibiotics I do remember it being itchy. You might call and check with your doctor but I don't think it's anything to worry about. How you feel better soon.
