Where does the money go that is donated to nominees?
I would like to know what happens to the money that is donated to the presidential nominees if they drop out of the race. Such as the money that John Edwards and others have gotten now that they are no longer running for president?

They can donate it to other political organizations or keep it for themselves if they're running for a state office or decide to go third party. It can't be donated to another individual candidate.

The money Edwards has left over will go to the caimpaign of the winner to run for president......and ya they all find a way to keep some of it
