Looking for information on postage from Egypt?

I will be going to Egypt to work there for six months. Can anyone give me information on postage from there to Iraq and Europe for letters and parcels (including allowance for weight and dimension), please? I looked at the Egypt Post site, but I'm not getting anywhere.

Also, can I buy stamps online and get them sent to me (either before I leave Europe or once I'm in Egypt), as I will be working at a hotel far away from any post office.

when you are in Egypt, you /someone else can ask at the post office for information about postage to Iraq and Europe.

stamps arent sold online in Egypt.

whatever you will send by mail has to go to the closest post office.

you can send it by the apointed messenger in the hotel you work in.

I lived in Luxor for 2 yrs & never did find a proper postal service. I mean i did have mail delivered to the restaurant i worked at, but at home, no. I did find a post office, but i had to pick up the object myself, it wasnt delivered & then they charged me before they released it.

So yeh, DHL or Aramex are the best way, if a bit expensive.
