I really hope that at some point in your competition you mentioned guys like Grandmaster Flash, Ice T, or Doug E. Fresh and Slick Rick.
Without Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, NONE of the modern rappers would have any clue what to do on the mic. They'd never have even HEARD of rap.
Now, as to your battles:

Don't need a battle, though. The top two men in rap are Dre and Snoop. They defined modern hip hop; They MADE it. Ain't nobody going to take that away from them.
