Toyota heater fan?

2004 toyota 4runner

fan won't blow, electronic temprature control says it's on, I can hear the flaps move as I change the function. Also the rear glass defrost does not appear to work, even though the light is on, if it's on the same circuit...

there's 2 fuses in box under the hood maked heat, a 15 amp and a 60 amp, both look good, and 2 relays marked heat.

I didn't seem to see relavant fuses in the dashboard fuse block.

Any diagrams where to start?

in the olden days I knew how to check the little resistor coils, but this electronic control has more going on, and it's too cold to just be exploring without a plan.

Thanks,

Jeff

Get a test light... check the power directly at the blower motor. (off the plug, that runs to the motor) Sometimes, theres a ton of reason why they stop IE wiring issues etc... but usually just a bad motor.

Check the power at the motor... if the test light comes on... then your motor is bad. Good Luck!
